Today’s teenagers are more independent and love options when it comes to straightening their teeth. Unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign patient has minimal restrictions when it comes to eating their favorite foods and brushing and flossing. For patients who are active in sports, Invisalign Teen is an ideal alternative as there is less risk of injury to the lips and cheeks. Musicians who play instruments that require a mouth piece love the comfort of Invisalign.

How does Invisalign Teen work?

At Windsor Smiles Orthodontics, we first scan your teeth using the iTero scanner, (no need for messy impressions any longer). Dr. Goings will then submit your treatment plan to Invisalign. Depending on the complexity of treatment needed, Invisalign fabricates a series of aligners that they think you’ll need to obtain the desired end result. Each aligner is worn for a two week period, 20-22 hours per day, (remove them to eat, brush and floss), then you simply go to the next set of aligners and repeat the same pattern. Invisalign Teen applies a continuous force to the teeth which causes them to move into the proper position.

Experience does make a difference.

Both Dr. Goings is a Premier Preferred Providers in Invisalign and Invisalign Teen which means that have had extensive training and understanding of how to address your individual treatment needs. Windsor Smiles Orthodontics was the first office in Northern Colorado to offer the iTero scanner which ensures a more precise and comfortable fit of your Invisalign trays.
